New Machine Flushing Guide
Before first use, follow these flushing steps to activate filters and clean tubing. The machine and filters may have a slight factory odor, so complete the flushing carefully.
Unbox, remove raw and clean water tanks, open the clean tank lid, and air out in a cool ventilated place for 12-24 hours.
Fill the raw tank with standard municipal tap water. After power-on, it starts purifying. Wait ~10 minutes - when the clean water level shows two bars solid, purification is complete.
Place a heat-resistant container (>3.5L) under the right spout. On the home screen, tap "Smart Functions" in the bottom right, select "Drain", tap "Start Drainage". The green light comes on, it drains and stops automatically.
After purification completes, tap "Dispense" on home screen, tap 45°C, press "Dispense/Stop" to dispense warm water until it finishes.
Same as Step 4 but select 98°C hot water, press "Dispense/Stop" to flush with hot water.
Ensure the brewing pot is on the machine. Tap "Brew Tea" on screen, select "Black Tea" mode, tap "Start Brewing". The machine auto-fills then heats; when heating completes it enters keep-warm. Press "Brew Tea/Stop" to end keep-warm, remove the pot and discard the water.

Important Notes:
1. Do not insert/remove the tank while the pump is running - this can damage the machine.
2. If prompted to change raw water during flushing, first dump the wastewater remaining in the raw tank, then refill.
3. After completing the process it's ready to use. You may extend airing time and flushing cycles based on actual situation.
4. To switch to plumbed (water supply) mode, book an official technician on-site.
High-Altitude Use
At high altitude, water does not reach 100°C when boiling. We recommend running a manual boiling-point detection: place an empty brewing pot on the machine, wait until the clean tank is full, then long-press "Brew Tea/Stop" for 5 seconds to fill the pot. The pot starts heating to detect the boiling point. When done, the machine beeps three times and enters standby. If you move to a different altitude, re-run boiling-point detection.
At altitudes above 1500m, do not dispense 98°C hot water to avoid steam jetting.
Daily Use
Dispensing Water
This machine has two spouts: left spout is for filling the brewing pot, right spout is for normal purified water dispensing.
1. When the clean water level icon shows more than one bar, press "Dispense/Stop" to get ambient water;
2. For hot water, press 45/55/65/75/85/98°C to select the temperature, then press "Dispense/Stop";
3. Press "Dispense/Stop" again to stop when you have enough.
Ambient water = blue spout light; hot water = red spout light; draining = green spout light.
Tap the "+" / "-" volume buttons to select dispense amount. Within 10 seconds of selecting the volume, press "Dispense/Stop" - the machine dispenses the set amount. You can also select temperature first then volume, for quantitative tempered hot water.
Tea Brewing & Wellness
1. Tap the icon for flower tea, fermented tea, herbal tonic, or boil water;
2. After selection, the machine offers different brew times; adjust with custom brew if needed;

Filters & Care
Filter Structure & Life
N7 Hermann uses a three-stage independent filter structure - filters are separate, replace whichever reaches end of life, no need to replace the whole set. When the home screen filter life bar turns orange and flashes, it's time to replace.
| Stage | Recommended Replacement | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 | ~12-18 months | Pre-composite filter, removes sediment, rust, impurities; adsorbs residual chlorine, pigments, odors |
| Stage 2 | ~2-3 years | APQ2.0 nano-bionic membrane, blocks heavy metals, pesticide residues, organics, bacteria |
| Stage 3 | ~12-18 months | Activated carbon composite filter, suppresses bacteria, improves taste |
Actual filter life depends on power-on time after activation, local water quality, dispense volume, etc. Always follow the on-screen filter life indicator.
Filter Replacement & Reset
Using Stage 1 as example:
1. Remove the clean water tank, open the machine top cover;
2. Twist the filter to be replaced from "Lock" to "Unlock" per the markings, pull out the old filter. Within 30 seconds the screen shows an alert and beeps;
3. Insert the new filter, twist from "Unlock" to "Lock" per markings. Within 30 seconds the alert disappears and the filter indicator becomes full - replacement complete.
Video tutorial: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1PQS8YsEp9
Reset Notes:
1. If the indicator doesn't change within 30 seconds after twisting, pull out and re-insert, repeat until auto-sensed reset.
2. After replacing, drain ambient water three times per the new-machine flushing method to fully soak the new filter.
3. Each filter chip can only reset its corresponding filter once. Before resetting, carefully verify and match the filter to avoid errors.
Please use Bewinch genuine filters. Non-genuine filters may have hygiene/safety, filtration performance, and seal matching issues, causing abnormal water quality or affecting machine life. Machine damage from non-genuine filters voids warranty.
Daily Cleaning & Care
The 1.3L hidden removable antibacterial jug is Tritan baby-grade material, light-blocking design. After drainage, unplug power, lift out the clean tank, wipe the inner surface and lid with a soft cloth that has been boiled in hot water, snap the lid back and reinstall. Keep surroundings clean and regularly clean the storage tank.
After the pot cools, remove it, twist counterclockwise to take off the lid, remove the metal/glass tea basket, wash the interior and parts with warm water. For tea scale/limescale buildup from long use, soak in white vinegar for 1 hour, or 6.5g citric acid + boiling water for 15 minutes, then empty and rinse 5-6 times with clean water.
Never immerse the pot body in any liquid. When returning to the machine, keep the pot bottom dry with no residual water.
During use, remove the drip tray assembly in the direction shown, promptly clear accumulated water, keep the dispensing area dry.
Waste Water Notes
N7 monitors raw water purity in real time and auto-adjusts waste ratio - the cleaner the raw water, the less waste, net-to-waste ratio as low as 4:1, achieving Grade-1 water efficiency.
When the raw tank water level drops below the minimum mark, or raw TDS is too high, the "Change Raw Water" indicator lights and ambient light flashes. Empty the remaining water in the raw tank and refill with standard municipal tap water before continuing.
Waste water is not drinkable, but can be used for cleaning, watering plants, etc.
Cleaning & Descaling
Daily Cleaning:
Raw tank: remove and rinse inner wall with clean water every 1-2 weeks, wipe with soft cloth.
Clean tank (antibacterial jug): remove every 1-2 months, wipe inner surface with a clean soft cloth dipped in boiling water, reinstall and fill then drain, repeat 2-3 times. Helix UV lamp auto-cycles for sterilization.
Drip tray: remove in direction shown, promptly clear accumulated water, keep area dry.
Body: wipe with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth; do not use corrosive solutions.
The brewing pot accumulates tea/limescale over long use; descale regularly:
Citric acid method: Pour in appropriate boiling water, add ~6.5g citric acid (or baking soda), soak 15 minutes, empty and rinse 5-6 times, repeat if needed.
White vinegar method: Pour in appropriate white vinegar, let sit 1 hour, empty and rinse 5-6 times.
To clean: let the pot cool, grip the inner lid and lift up → twist lid counterclockwise to unlock → remove tea basket, wash pot interior, inner lid, lid and basket with warm water, reassemble in order.
Never immerse the whole pot body in liquid to wash. Do not fill the pot beyond the max line to prevent boiling water from spurting out.
Long Periods of Non-Use
If unused for over 72 hours, before reuse: power on and drain all internal water, replace raw tank with fresh water, wait until clean tank is full then drain again. Repeat 3 times before normal use.
FAQ
Water Quality Questions
White foam is normal - it is essentially tiny bubbles that disappear when left to stand. Safe to drink.
œ Pressure change: during purification, pressure pushes water through the membrane and some air dissolves. When dispensing, pressure drops and dissolved air comes out as tiny bubbles.
œ Temperature change: when a new filter first purifies water it must fill the filter interior; the raw tank may show "white mist" of dense tiny bubbles due to pressurized air release. This is normal physics.
The mineral water filtered by N7 Hermann contains electrolytes. Beneficial minerals such as strontium, zinc, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, selenium, and metasilicic acid exist as ions in the water. The water is approximately pH7.6 weakly alkaline, tasting close to natural spring water. Low sodium, light minerals, suitable for daily direct drinking and wellness brewing.
TDS is only a common pre/post purification indicator and does not absolutely represent water quality. Minor fluctuations based on water quality and environment are normal. If purified TDS stays unchanged, first change raw water and re-purify to observe. If the range is still abnormal, contact the store where you purchased.
Operation Questions
Tap "Smart Functions" bottom right on home screen → "System Settings" → enable "Screen Lock". Once on, the machine auto-locks after 1 minute idle. During lock, dispensing is disabled (clean jug can still be removed). Slide the touch screen to unlock.
Set desired temperature, volume, heating time on screen, then long-press the corresponding custom icon for 5 seconds until you hear a beep = saved. N7 supports 11 custom profiles (5 tea, 6 drinking). To recall, press the custom icon then press "Dispense/Stop" or "Brew Tea/Stop".
Repeat to overwrite. New machines and after power restart, custom data is unset by default.
Poor local water quality or not changing raw water in time can cause raw TDS to reach 999 with an alarm. Fix: œ Replace all raw water and dispense water to let the machine re-detect; œ If you don't need the alarm sound, turn off "999 Alert" in "Smart Functions" → "System Settings".
High raw TDS accelerates filter consumption. When prompted, change raw water promptly; do not accumulate water for reuse.
Enter the brew customization page, set brewing parameters, tap "Schedule" in the bottom left, select the scheduled time, then tap "Start Brewing". The machine auto-fills and starts heating at the scheduled time. View remaining schedule time on the home screen.
Filter Questions
The main unit comes with one each of Stage 1/2/3 filters. For this model, Stage 1 and Stage 3 filters are recommended every 6-8 months, Stage 2 filter every 2-3 years.
Actual life depends on power-on time, local water TDS, daily dispense volume etc. The panel has smart replacement reminders; replace with Bewinch genuine filters as prompted.
After filters expire, filtration gradually weakens, adsorbed harmful impurities saturate on the membrane, purification capacity drops, potentially allowing bacteria and impurities into drinking water causing secondary contamination.
Completely clogged filters can also cause booster pump overload, pipe rupture and other safety hazards. Replace promptly per panel reminders.
After-Sales & Service Questions
N-Series whole machine enjoys 4 years warranty: the first 2 years are "replacement-only" coverage - if quality issues arise within warranty, replace with a new machine directly; years 3-4 are nationwide warranty repair period, repairs are free.
For any product questions, contact the store's online customer service, or contact the store where you purchased.
Bewinch supports free first on-site installation (including installation parts and hole drilling, except natural marble countertops). Book via the Bewinch official mini-program, or contact the store's online customer service to help book.
N9 series orders also include a free on-site new-machine flushing service.
Hydrogen Production Questions
Tap "Help" on the screen and select "H2" from the menu to enable hydrogen production.
Align the hydrogen module/hydrogen-rich cup male plug with the dispensing socket, press until you hear a "click" = installed.
The hydrogen function does not work when the clean tank is empty. The hydrogen module electrodes have a service life; when degradation is obvious, contact after-sales for replacement.
Hydrogen molecules are unstable. We recommend drinking promptly after dispensing for best hydrogen concentration.
N9Max Yaoguang uses high-pressure steady-state hydrogen locking technology; at room temperature, 1-hour retention is still 60%+, and it stably retains hydrogen even in hot water. Other models should be drunk fresh.
N9Max Yaoguang is equipped with 4th-gen platinum hydrogen electrolysis and high-pressure steady-state hydrogen locking technology. Hydrogen production rate is 700% higher than the basic model, stably retaining hydrogen even in hot water - solving the pain point that ordinary hydrogen machines can't hold hydrogen in hot water and hydrogen molecules easily escape.
Dispensing & Temperature Questions
Based on specific heat Q=cmΔt, the higher the desired temperature, the larger the temperature difference between raw and target water, the more energy needed. The machine has limited power. To achieve fast heating, it reduces water flow to reach the target temperature. Higher temperature = less flow, consistent with physical energy conservation. Normal.
To avoid secondary contamination, the machine uses a sealed structure. Water heated to 100°C boils and produces steam, causing excessive pressure inside the heating tube. Although the tube has an automatic high-pressure relief valve, after steam releases, re-filling and reheating causes slow heating and energy waste. Therefore dispenser heating temperature is usually controlled above 90°C, below 100°C.
The machine uses high-precision reverse osmosis RO membrane and multi-stage deep filtration; dispensed water meets national direct drinking standards and can be drunk directly even without boiling.
The machine detects the instantaneous temperature after the heating system. As purified water flows from spout to cup, water temperature changes with ambient temperature. The temperature control component auto-adjusts based on ambient temperature.
Manual correction: œ Continuously dispense 98°C water for 1-2 minutes; œ Then dispense 85°C water for 1-2 minutes; œ Then continuously dispense hot water until switching to 45°C water and continue 1-2 minutes. This helps the machine adapt to current ambient temperature.
When temperature is not adjusted, the screen shows real-time ambient temperature, which changes with room temperature. The temperature probe is sensitive; when room temperature is at a threshold (e.g. 27-28°C), the display may jump back and forth between two degrees. Normal, does not affect daily use.
Due to the machine's water path design, quantitative dispensing may have ±10mL error because a small amount of water remains in the tubing. Normal. Hot quantitative error may be slightly larger because water flows slower and thinner at different heating temperatures. We recommend using a measuring cup with precise markings.
Filter Use & Replacement Questions
œ Open the machine top cover; œ Grip the handle above the filter, rotate the pointer from "Lock" to "Unlock", gently lift out the old filter; œ Align the new filter pointer with the "Unlock" mark and insert into the corresponding slot, grip the handle and rotate to "Lock".
After replacement, long-press "Dispense/Stop" for 5 seconds to drain; drain 2-3 times then normal use. N-Series uses Spin ID/chip auto-sensing reset; after inserting the new filter the indicator auto-restores to full.
Three dimensions: œ Power-on time (like food shelf life - once water passes through, it counts even if unused); œ Raw water TDS change (dirtier water = shorter filter life); œ Dispense volume (more water = shorter life).
The filter life indicator is a recommended replacement cycle, not mandatory. But don't wait until the filter is completely clogged, as that can cause booster pump overload, pipe rupture and other safety hazards.
Filters have a five-year shelf life. Keep the sealed bag unopened and store in a cool place. No need to worry about stockpiling expiring.
Non-genuine filters may have unguaranteed raw material hygiene, reduced filtration performance and seal matching, causing abnormal water quality and affecting machine life. Filters purchased through non-official channels cannot be reset and the machine will not work. Please purchase genuine filters from authorized channels.
Waste Water & TDS Questions
When the screen shows the red water cup icon prompting raw water change, empty the remaining water in the raw tank and refill with municipal tap water.
You don't need to power off every time; just ensure the booster pump is not running when removing the tank. Do not remove the tank during purification, as this can cause the machine to suck in air and malfunction.
"Waste water" is actually concentrated water produced during filtration - in RO reverse osmosis machines, it rinses impurities off the RO membrane to maintain filter life. Bewinch net-to-waste ratio is about 3:1. Waste water is cleaner than tap water (but not drinkable) and can be collected for mopping, watering plants, etc.
Raw water and waste water share one tank; the raw water inlet is on the upper layer and the waste water outlet is on the lower layer. Because waste water is denser, it naturally stratifies with raw water. Combined with the machine's internal membrane flushing technology, there is no repeated filtration of waste water. The machine has a built-in clean tank where multi-stage filtered pure water is pre-stored, ensuring drinking safety.
Possible causes: œ You poured purified water into the raw tank, so raw TDS is naturally low; œ New machine not fully flushed; œ When raw water is very pure, the RO membrane produces little waste water, which means less flushing of the purified probe, so the purified reading may be slightly higher. Using municipal tap water as raw water and completing the full new-machine flush will make raw value higher than purified value. Normal.
After a new filter is installed, the RO rejection rate gradually climbs. We recommend dispensing more water daily to help the rejection rate climb; when it reaches 97%, the TDS will drop. Bewinch purified direct-drinking standard range is 0-30.
Cleaning & Maintenance Questions
Take a cup of 65°C+ hot water, pour in 5-10g citric acid (adjust amount based on scale severity), wait for full dissolution and let the water cool; fill the raw tank with tap water and pour in the dissolved citric acid water; wait 30-60 minutes then wipe the inner wall with a clean cotton cloth until scale comes off; dump the citric acid water and rinse thoroughly with tap water.
We recommend cleaning every 2-3 months. Remove the raw tank, open the machine top cover and clean tank lid; long-press "Dispense/Stop" for 5 seconds to drain, auto-stops when done; repeatedly wipe the inner wall with a clean lint-free non-woven cloth; reinstall raw tank filled with water, wait for auto purification; drain again 2-3 times.
Algae spores floating in the air enter the water and grow into algae where there's plenty of light. Place the machine away from direct light, clean the tank promptly; soak and wash the inner wall with citric acid solution.
It's not a de-air sound - it's the normal filter flushing sound. After purification, the machine runs a ~15-second vortex convection flushing program that rinses ionic impurities off the membrane surface, protecting filter life and drinking health. It auto-runs after every purification cycle.
After-Sales Service Questions
œ Scan the Bewinch mini-program code on the machine, select "Install/Repair", fill in info and submit; œ Contact the store where you purchased. When reporting a repair, provide the machine SN code (QR code).
Immediately close the inlet valve (plumbed model), stop water supply, then cut power. Promptly contact official after-sales; do not disassemble yourself.
N7 Installation & Brewing Customization
œ Remove the raw tank, take out the silicone pad to reveal the arrow indicator; œ Use a tool to rotate the arrow clockwise 90° to the lock mark (non-plumbed is unlock mark), reinstall the silicone pad and raw tank; œ Open the tee valve inlet hose switch; œ Plug in power; œ Press "Smart Select" bottom right on screen, tap "System Settings", enable tap water continuous supply mode; œ The main screen shows the "tap" icon = switch complete.
On the customization page, enter the edit interface via the top right, tap "Rename", select the profile to rename, enter the input method page (supports Chinese/English toggle), edit and tap "Done" to save.
Troubleshooting
Symptoms & Solutions
Symptom: Display dark, machine not purifying or working.
Cause: Power not connected, or supply voltage doesn't match rated voltage on nameplate.
Solution: œ Check the plug is firmly inserted and the socket has power; œ Confirm supply voltage matches nameplate rating. If still dark, contact the store where you purchased. Do not disassemble.
Symptom: No purification, or very low purified water flow.
Cause: Possible: filters expired or clogged, booster pump not working, raw water too cold, raw tank empty.
Solution: œ Check filter life indicator, replace if expired; œ Listen for normal running/purifying sounds; œ Replace with municipal tap water at 5-35°C; œ Check raw tank level and add water. If still not purifying, contact the store where you purchased.
Symptom: After selecting hot temperature, no hot water comes out.
Cause: Didn't select hot temperature first before dispensing, or clean tank is at minimum level.
Solution: œ First press the desired temperature icon, then press "Dispense/Stop" for hot water; œ Wait until clean tank reaches high level before dispensing hot water. If still no hot water, contact the store where you purchased.
Symptom: After selecting brew, the pot doesn't heat.
Cause: Set heating temperature is lower than current tea/water temperature in the pot, or the pot triggered dry-boil thermostat protection.
Solution: œ Raise set temperature above current tea temperature; œ Confirm the pot has water - dry-boil protection resets after adding water. If still not heating, contact the store where you purchased.
Symptom: Tea/water overflows from the pot during brewing.
Cause: Too much water added over MAX line, or tea concentration too high producing lots of foam.
Solution: œ Pour out some water, ensure level is below MAX (tea ≤500mL, boiling water ≤700mL); œ Reduce tea leaf amount; we don't recommend brewing overly concentrated tea.
Symptom: Plastic taste, disinfectant taste, or other off odor in dispensed water.
Cause: New machine not fully flushed, filters expired, or long non-use causing stagnant water.
Solution: œ Complete the full new-machine flush; œ Check filter life, replace if expired; œ Drain stagnant water and clean clean tank, brewing pot and raw tank. If odor persists, contact the store where you purchased.
Symptom: After installing a new filter, the screen filter indicator doesn't return to full.
Cause: Filter not twisted fully in, anti-counterfeit electronic tag not recognized by sensor module, or non-genuine filter used.
Solution: œ Remove the new filter and re-twist to "Lock" position, confirm no looseness; œ Within ~1 minute after power-on, the corresponding filter indicator should restore to full; œ Please use Bewinch genuine filters. Note each chip can only reset once; if still abnormal, contact the store where you purchased.
Symptom: After pulling out the clean tank, the clean water level light flashes and beeps 3 times.
Cause: This is a normal prompt reminding you the clean tank is not on the machine.
Solution: Reinsert the clean tank correctly and press down firmly to seat it. The beeping and flashing stop.
Symptom: After long non-use, the screen shows periodic drain prompt or abnormal indicator.
Cause: Normal prompt that residual water in the tubing changed after long standing.
Solution: No need to worry. Press "Dispense/Stop" to dispense water, or run one drain cycle to recover. We recommend running a full drain-flush before reusing after long non-use.
Symptom: The outer plastic wrap on a new filter looks puffed up.
Cause: After production, filters are gas-filled for air-tightness testing and better filtration speed, then plastic-sealed for storage.
Solution: Normal, no need to worry. Bewinch uses double-layer plastic sealing; as long as the seal is intact, it's safe to use.
Symptom: White powdery crystals form on the raw tank wall after long use.
Cause: Water hardness varies by region; long use forms limescale on the wall.
Solution: œ Take a cup of ~65°C hot water, add 5-10g food-grade citric acid and stir to dissolve; œ Fill raw tank with tap water and pour in the solution; œ Soak 30-60 minutes, wipe with clean cotton cloth until scale comes off; œ Dump citric acid water, rinse thoroughly with tap water.
Symptom: After enabling hydrogen mode, no bubbles or noticeably lower hydrogen concentration.
Cause: Possible: environment too dark (photosensor auto-disables hydrogen), hydrogen module expired, module not installed correctly, clean tank empty.
Solution: œ Check ambient light, brighten and observe; œ Check hydrogen module life (~2-3 years), replace if expired; œ Reinstall hydrogen module, ensure plug seats; œ Confirm clean tank has water. If still ineffective, contact the store where you purchased.
Symptom: White fog-like deposits on the inside of the hydrogen power window.
Cause: Stage 3 filter uses imported sintered coconut shell activated carbon. The carbon contains fine taste factors (trace minerals) that improve taste. Because N-Series hydrogen content is high and hydrogen is reducing, these fine taste factors are reduced by hydrogen, producing white fog on the cup wall.
Solution: This does not affect water quality; water is safe to drink. The hydrogen window is removable; clean periodically (every 1-2 months recommended).
Symptom: Hydrogen cup / hydrogen window needs periodic cleaning.
Cause: Long use may accumulate mineral deposits on the cup interior.
Solution: œ Place a 3.5L container under the spout; œ Tap "Help" → "Clean H2 Tank", confirm and wait for drainage; œ When drainage completes and you hear a "click", pull out the hydrogen cup (if it won't come out, press inward once until you hear "click", then pull); œ Wash the hydrogen cup and reinstall. Clean every 1-2 months.
Symptom: Screen shows E02 when dispensing hot water.
Cause: Inlet temperature sensor open circuit (reads 100°C), or outlet NTC sensor cracked and taking in moisture.
Solution: Power off and restart to see if it recovers; if it recurs, the outlet NTC sensor may have cracked and taken in moisture - contact after-sales for replacement or repair.
Symptom: Screen shows E03.
Cause: Outlet temperature sensor short circuit (reads 0°C).
Solution: Clears automatically after the fault is fixed; if persistent, contact after-sales to inspect the outlet temperature sensor.
Symptom: Screen shows E04.
Cause: Outlet temperature sensor open circuit (reads 120°C).
Solution: Clears automatically after the fault is fixed; if persistent, contact after-sales.
Symptom: Screen shows E07.
Cause: Drainage abnormal - continuous draining for 10 minutes still not complete.
Solution: Power off to clear; check if the drain line is blocked. If recurring, contact after-sales.
Symptom: Screen shows E11.
Cause: Heating fault - after 20 seconds of heating it hasn't reached half the target temperature.
Solution: Power off to clear; check if raw water is too cold. If recurring, contact after-sales to inspect the heating system.
Symptom: Screen shows H01.
Cause: No hot water dispensed for ≥3 days; machine reminds you to drain for maintenance.
Solution: Press "Help" on display, enter "Smart Functions", select "Drain", long-press "Dispense/Stop" for 5 seconds to drain and clear.
Symptom: Screen shows H02.
Cause: Product unused for over 72 hours (3 days).
Solution: Long-press "Dispense/Stop" for ~5 seconds to drain; H02 auto-clears when reaching low level. Before reusing, dump remaining raw water, refill, and repeat draining 3 times.
Symptom: New machine screen shows raw 04 purified 03, not purifying.
Cause: Factory default setting. Before water passes through, all machines default to raw 04 purified 03. This is not a fault - the water path hasn't actually run water yet.
Solution: œ If raw-change light is on showing 0403: check if the raw tank float is missing, reinsert the tank several times; œ After completing the new-machine flush, the machine purifies normally and the display updates; œ If raw-change light is off but still 0403: possible booster pump or waste-water solenoid valve fault - contact after-sales repair.
Symptom: Noticeably reduced output or dispense interruption.
Cause: Filters expired or clogged; raw tank empty; low purified flow.
Solution: œ Replace filters; œ Add standard municipal tap water; œ If slow persists after filter replacement, possible diaphragm/booster pump fault - contact official after-sales.
Symptom: Hot water stream is thin, intermittent, with steam coming out.
Cause: Models using swirling instant-heat true-boiling technology heat water instantly to 100°C in the heating tube, producing lots of steam. To maintain accurate temperature, the hot stream is thinner than ambient water. Normal.
Solution: Normal physics, no action needed. May be more pronounced at high altitude due to boiling point.
Symptom: 98°C output is noticeably smaller than ambient water.
Cause: Per Q=cmΔt, higher temperature needs more energy; once power maxes out, flow is reduced to reach target temperature. Normal energy conservation.
Solution: Normal. If you need larger hot flow, consider flagship models with RH servo instant-heat technology.
Symptom: Raw tank has water but machine still prompts raw change or shows low water.
Cause: œ Tank float not installed correctly or weak magnet; œ Poor tank contact; œ TDS 999 alarm.
Solution: œ Fill tank to max mark, check float is installed and floats in full water; œ Reinsert the tank; œ At TDS 999, after changing water you must dispense water so the machine purifies; once the raw probe detects new water quality, TDS drops.
Symptom: Steam or hot water splashes out when dispensing high-temperature water.
Cause: At high altitude the boiling point is lower, producing more steam in the heating tube; steam comes out with the water.
Solution: At high altitude, be careful of hot splashing on first use; some areas may not be able to use the highest temp. Hold the container close to the spout, don't reach far away.
Symptom: Seepage from the bottom of the raw tank.
Cause: Bottom valve loose or not installed correctly.
Solution: Reinstall the bottom valve, ensure it's tightened. Contact the store where you purchased for a video guide.
Symptom: New machine spout keeps dripping.
Cause: New machine tubing may have debris preventing the valve from sealing fully.
Solution: Drain several times to flush out debris. If dripping persists after multiple drains, contact after-sales.
Symptom: Leakage and noise after replacing/installing a filter.
Cause: Filter not tightened or not seated; using an old filter may cause poor sealing.
Solution: Re-tighten the filter, ensure it's seated. We recommend using new filters; old filters restore the indicator but purification efficiency and speed decline.
Symptom: Filter life shows empty and flashing with beeping reminder.
Cause: Filter has reached end of life and needs replacement.
Solution: Twist from "Lock" to "Unlock" per markings, pull out old filter. Within 30 seconds the screen shows L01/L02/L03, then insert new filter and twist to "Lock" - auto-senses reset within 30 seconds. After replacement, long-press "Dispense/Stop" for 5 seconds to drain; drain 3 times then normal use.
Symptom: Filter used for noticeably less time than expected, frequently prompted to replace.
Cause: œ Power-on time calculation (like food shelf life - once water passes through it counts even if unused); œ High raw TDS (dirtier water = shorter life); œ High dispense volume (more frequent use = shorter life).
Solution: The filter life indicator is a recommended cycle, not mandatory. But don't wait until fully clogged, as that can cause booster pump overload, pipe rupture etc. Plan reasonably based on actual water quality and usage.
Symptom: New machine shows 999 for days, repeated water changes and drains don't help.
Cause: TDS probe scaling.
Solution: For a new machine, contact after-sales for exchange, or contact the store where you purchased for inspection.
Symptom: Display abnormal, e.g. temperature icon flashing, screen black.
Cause: Display control module abnormal.
Solution: Contact after-sales to replace the display assembly.
Symptom: Purified TDS stays at 30 and doesn't change.
Cause: Raw water not changed.
Solution: Change raw water and re-purify; the TDS value updates.
Symptom: Raw TDS reads lower than purified TDS.
Cause: œ You poured purified water into the raw tank, so raw TDS is naturally low; œ New machine not fully flushed, internal tubing not clean causing high purified TDS; œ When raw water is very pure, RO produces little waste, less flushing of purified probe, so purified value may be slightly higher.
Solution: œ Use municipal tap water as raw water; œ Complete the full new-machine flush; œ Use tap water with higher TDS for a week and observe - raw value will be higher than purified. Normal, doesn't affect use.
Symptom: After airing out and repeatedly boiling water, new machine still has strong odor.
Cause: New machine filters and tubing may carry a slight odor.
Solution: Open the machine top cover, leave the clean tank open, and let sit 24 hours. If odor remains, smell the source (raw tank or clean tank); brew citric acid and pour in to resolve.
Symptom: Green moss-like growth on raw or clean tank inner wall.
Cause: Algae spores in the air enter the water and grow where there's light.
Solution: Place the machine away from direct light, clean the tank promptly; soak and wash the inner wall with citric acid solution.
Symptom: After moving raw or clean tank during purification, air lock or leakage appears.
Cause: Moving tanks while the machine is purifying causes air to enter the water path.
Solution: Do not move raw or clean tanks during purification. Wait until purification completes, or power off and wait for the water-change prompt before moving tanks.
Symptom: Feels hydrogen concentration in hydrogen-rich water isn't enough.
Cause: œ Hydrogen module needs periodic maintenance cleaning; œ Hydrogen cup not cleaned long, electrode surface covered in impurities; œ Waited too long after dispensing, hydrogen escaped.
Solution: œ Clean the hydrogen cup every 1-2 months; œ Follow the clean-H2-tank procedure then pull out the cup and clean electrode surface; œ Models with high-pressure locking have 60%+ retention after 1 hour at room temp, but we recommend drinking promptly for best concentration.
Symptom: Clean water level light turns red, machine shows overflow protection.
Cause: Clean tank not installed correctly or poor contact triggers overflow sensor.
Solution: Reinsert the clean tank and press firmly, then perform a drain/dispense operation to clear the overflow display.
Symptom: Some water droplets remain in the pump body and valve on a new machine.
Cause: All Bewinch countertop purifier products undergo 100% full performance/safety water testing before shipping. After testing, filters are replaced, but some water may remain in pump/valve bodies.
Solution: Normal. Flush per the new-machine guide and it's ready to use.
Symptom: Slow purification, no flow, or intermittent flow - suspected air lock.
Solution: œ Power on and wait for purification to start (you'll hear "putt-putt" sounds); when purification completes, open the top cover and pull out filters; œ Use a chopstick-like tool to gently poke the hole at the bottom of the filter to release pressure (note: if the chopstick meets resistance, there is indeed air lock - water may spurt from the filter bottom, never point the filter bottom at your face); œ Repeat for each filter, then tighten filters, dry the countertop, close the top cover and it's ready.
Symptom: Screen numbers jumping, touch unresponsive or intermittent.
Solution: œ First wipe water off the screen with a dry cloth - capacitive touch misfires when wet; œ Check for voltage instability, try a separate outlet; œ If screen still frequently jumps or flickers, possible touch film assembly fault - contact after-sales for replacement.
Symptom: Press dispense but no water comes out, display normal.
Solution: œ Check the top cover is pressed fully down (an unseated top cover triggers safety lock); œ Power off for 1 minute then restart; œ Confirm raw tank has water and the float rises normally; œ If none work, possible diaphragm pump hardware fault - contact after-sales.
Symptom: Does the clean tank need periodic cleaning? How?
Solution: We recommend cleaning the clean tank every 2-3 months: œ Remove raw tank, open machine top cover and clean tank lid; œ Long-press "Dispense/Stop" for 5 seconds to drain, auto-stops; œ Wipe clean tank inner wall with a clean lint-free cloth; œ Fill raw tank and replace, wait for auto purification; œ Long-press drain again 2-3 times then normal use.
Symptom: Insects found around or below the machine.
Solution: The machine base has a drainage diversion hole for safe drainage; insects may enter in high-insect environments. Fix: œ Place the machine in a clean, ventilated, dry spot and clean regularly; œ Place 1-2 non-toxic insect-repellent sachets near each of the four feet. Internal water paths are fully sealed and won't affect water quality.
Symptom: Plastic odor remains after new-machine flush; how to deep deodorize?
Solution: New machine water-contact plastic parts undergo factory deodorizing, but after full sealed packaging a slight plastic odor may remain. Normal. The usual method is to leave the clean tank open for 12-24 hours then complete the flush. If odor remains, use the "dish soap method" for deep deodorizing: dilute food-grade dish soap, pour into the clean tank and cycle flush, then drain with clean water 3-5 times to remove residue. See official video tutorial for details.
Symptom: Very loud purification noise on first use.
Solution: Normal. New machine filters, booster pump and internal water paths contain lots of air; the pump compressing air makes noise. After repeated purification and draining fully wets the internal paths, noise gradually decreases. If still noisy, check the machine sits on a flat surface; place a flat soft pad under the machine to reduce resonance.
Symptom: What is TDS? Why does the TDS number differ each time?
Solution: TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) is the total amount of dissolved substances in water; higher numbers mean more minerals and impurities. TDS is determined by the raw water quality you add - not a fixed value. Internal tubing and filters retain some old water that mixes with new water, so readings may be slightly higher than tap water. After changing raw water, dispense a cup to let the machine purify so the TDS probe detects the new water quality.
Symptom: Why does remaining raw tank water get more concentrated / what is waste water?
Solution: The RO reverse osmosis membrane precision is 0.1 nanometer. To avoid impurities clogging membrane pores, some water is used to rinse the membrane surface; this rinse water flows back to the raw tank as "waste water." Waste water is only slightly higher in salt than tap water - it's not sewage. We recommend dumping all remaining raw tank water at each water change and filling fresh water; don't reuse waste water.
Symptom: Quantitative dispensing is off; measuring cup shows slightly more or less.
Solution: A small amount of water remains in the machine's water tubing, so some error in quantitative dispensing is normal. Hot water quantitative error may be slightly larger because flow speed changes with water temperature. We recommend using a measuring cup or bottle with precise markings; this is within normal error range.
Symptom: A vertical line/mark on the machine shell.
Solution: This is a natural witness line where plastic fuses during injection molding - an industry-wide phenomenon that doesn't affect use or appearance. We are continuously improving the process to reduce witness lines.
Symptom: How is filter life calculated? Must I replace when time is up?
Solution: Filter life is calculated from three dimensions: œ Power-on time (like food shelf life - after water passes through, it decays over time even if unused); œ Raw TDS change (worse water = faster consumption); œ Cumulative dispense volume (more water = faster consumption). The life reminder is a recommended cycle, not a mandatory deadline, but don't wait until the filter is fully clogged as that can cause booster pump overload or pipe rupture.
