FAQ

H2 brewing & locking FAQs

How is N9Max H2 locking different from ordinary H2 machines?
H2 lockingHydrogen water

Ordinary H2 machines need "drink within 30 seconds." The N9Max uses high pressure to dissolve H2:

Room temp:1h retention >60%;

45°C hot water:H2 retention up to 84.3%;

98°C:Still 1200ppb+ active H2.

H2 water can be heated and stored — truly daily drinking water.

Why does N9Max hot water still contain H2?
H2Hot waterH2 locking

The industry problem is "no H2 in hot water." The N9Max brews on tap at all temps; the dynamic module and high-pressure locking keep H2 high even in hot water.

Measured H2 differs from advertised?
H2H2 levelTesting

Differences are common for these reasons:

① Temperature:H2 is inherently unstable and affected by water temperature.

② Cycle:The module cycles; H2 rises on start and falls on stop.

③ Equipment:Home testers vary in quality and technique; results may be off.

Our data come from certified labs and Bewinch lab at constant temperature.

H2 cup FAQs

How do I remove and clean the H2 cup?
H2 cupClean

1. Place a 3.5L container under the outlet;

2. Tap "Help" → "Clean H2 Tank", confirm and wait;

3. On click, pull out the cup. If stuck, press inward until it clicks;

4. Rinse and reinstall.

Clean every 1-2 months. Do not remove the pure tank during the Clean-H2 cycle or it will hang.

New H2 cup has water marks?
H2 cupWater marksNew unit

Normal, don't worry. The stacked H2 module draws high instantaneous power; starting dry could burn the plates.

The module is water-tested at the factory to confirm function and pre-soak the plates against dry-burn.

Operation & water-quality FAQs

How do I switch CN/EN?
BilingualSettings

The N9Max has built-in CN/EN; switch in Settings for domestic, overseas or foreign users.

White foam in the water?
Water qualityWhite foamBubbles

White foam is normal micro-bubbles that vanish at rest. Causes: pressure dissolves air during purification, released at the tap; and temperature change lowers air solubility. Safe to drink.

Filter FAQs

How often replace filters?
FiltersReplacementLife

Stage 1 and 3 every 12-18 months; Stage 2 every 2-3 years.

Life depends on power-on time, local TDS, volume. Use Bewinch originals.

What if I delay replacement?
FiltersReplacementLife

After end of life, filtration weakens and bacteria may enter the water.

A fully clogged filter can overload the pump or burst pipes. Replace as prompted.

After-Sales FAQs

What is the warranty?
After-salesWarrantyReplacement-only

N-series: 4-year warranty — years 1-2 replacement-only, years 3-4 free repair.

For product questions, contact the store where you purchased.

Is on-site service available?
After-salesOn-site installService

First installation is free (except natural marble). Book via the Bewinch mini-program or contact the store where you purchased.

N9 orders also include one free on-site new-unit flush.

Using Hydrogen Mode

How do I turn on hydrogen mode?
H2How to enableH2

Tap "Help" and select "H2."

Align the module/cup with the outlet and press until it clicks.

H2 pauses when the pure tank is empty; contact support when the electrode degrades.

How long can hydrogen water sit?
Hydrogen waterH2 levelShelf life

Drink soon after dispensing for best concentration.

The N9Max retains 60%+ after 1 hour at room temperature even in hot water; other models are best fresh.

What is N9Max H2 locking?
N9MaxH2 lockingH2 lock tech

The N9Max uses 4th-gen platinum mixed-H2 electrolysis with high-pressure locking, 700% more H2 retained even in hot water.

Water Flow & Temperature

Why is hot flow weaker?
Hot waterFlowNormal

By Q=cmΔt, higher temperature needs more energy; at max power the unit reduces flow. Normal.

Why doesn't it reach 100°C?
Temperature100°CBoil

The unit is sealed; boiling creates steam and pressure. Countertop purifiers heat above 90°C but below 100°C — safe.

The high-precision RO membrane meets direct-drinking standards even without boiling.

Temperature seems off?
TemperatureInaccurateDeviation

Unit measures water right after heating; ambient affects cup. Recalibrate if needed.

Recalibrate: dispense 98°C for 1-2 min, then 85°C for 1-2 min, then hot water until switching to 45°C for 1-2 min.

Why does the displayed temperature jump?
JumpingDisplayRoom temp

With no temperature selected, the screen shows real-time ambient water temp. At a boundary (e.g. 27-28°C) it may flip — normal.

Fixed-volume dispense off?
Fixed volumeVolumeError

Fixed dispensing has ±10mL tolerance (more for hot water). Use a measuring cup.

Filter Use & Replacement

How do I replace filters?
FiltersReplacementSteps

① Open the cover; ② rotate the filter from "Lock" to "Unlock" and lift it out; ③ align the new filter with "Unlock," insert, rotate to "Lock."

Long-press "Dispense/Stop" 5s, drain 2-3 times. N-series auto-resets via Spin ID.

What affects filter life?
Filter lifeFactorsTDS

Three factors: ① power-on time; ② raw TDS (dirtier = shorter); ③ dispensed volume.

Indicator is a recommendation — don't wait until fully clogged, which can overload the pump.

Do filters have a shelf life?
FiltersShelf lifeStorage

Filters have a 5-year shelf life. Keep unopened in a cool place.

Can I use non-original filters?
Non-originalFiltersSafety

Non-original filters lack hygiene/seal guarantees and can't be reset. Buy originals from authorized channels.

Waste Water & TDS

How do I change raw water?
Raw waterReplacementTanks

When the red cup icon appears, drain the tank and refill with fresh tap water.

No need to cut power; remove tank only when pump is off. Never while purifying.

Why waste water?
Waste waterWaste ratioRO membrane

"Waste" is concentrated flush water that rinses the RO membrane. Ratio ~3:1. Cleaner than tap (not drinkable); reusable for mopping/watering.

Does stored waste affect quality?
Waste waterRaw tankLayering

Raw and waste share the tank: inlet top, drain bottom. Denser waste layers below; internal flushing prevents re-filtering. Pure water is pre-stored.

Raw TDS lower than pure TDS?
TDSRaw waterPure water

① Purified water in the raw tank; ② new unit not flushed; ③ very pure raw water = less probe rinsing. — normal.

Is higher TDS normal after a filter change?
After filter changeTDS risesRO rate

With a new filter, RO rejection climbs gradually; TDS drops after more dispensing. Pure range is 0-30.

Cleaning & Care

How to remove limescale?
ScaleDescalingCitric acid

Soak tank with 5-10g citric acid in 65°C water 30-60 min, then wipe, drain, rinse.

How to clean the pure tank?
Pure tankCleaningMaintenance

Every 2-3 months: remove the raw tank, open both lids, long-press "Dispense/Stop" 5s to drain, wipe, refill, drain 2-3 more times.

Tank turned green / algae?
AlgaeGreenGreen algae

Airborne algae grow in lit water. Move away from light, clean tank, soak with citric acid.

Why the hissing after purification?
HissingFilter flushSound

That is the normal 15-second vortex filter flush after each cycle — not an air leak.

After-Sales Service

How do I book a repair?
RepairScheduleAfter-sales

① Scan the Bewinch mini-program QR and book "Installation/Repair"; ② contact the store where you purchased. Have the SN ready.

Emergency action for leakage?

Solution
① Ensure the top cover is latched; ② unplug for 1 min; ③ confirm raw-tank water and float; ④ if all fail, contact support.

Does the pure tank need regular cleaning?

Symptom
Does the pure tank need regular cleaning? How?
Solution
Every 2-3 months: remove the raw tank, open both lids, long-press "Dispense/Stop" 5s to drain, wipe, refill, drain 2-3 more times.

Hot water sputters with steam

Symptom
Hot water dispenses in sputters with steam.
Solution
Swirl heating creates steam that thins flow — normal. Try 85°C at altitude.

Insects near the base

Symptom
Insects appear near or under the unit.
Solution
The base has drain vents insects may enter. Place the unit in a clean, ventilated, dry spot; use non-toxic repellent near the feet.

Deep removal of new plastic smell

Symptom
Still smells of plastic after flushing — how to deep-deodorize?
Solution
A slight packaging smell is normal. Air out the tank 12-24 hours, then flush. If it persists, cycle diluted dish soap, rinse 3-5 times.

White scale / crystals on raw tank

Symptom
White powdery scale or crystals on the raw tank interior.
Solution
White powdery scale is normal. Soak the tank with 5-10g citric acid in 65°C water for 30-60 min, then wipe, drain and rinse.

New filter's outer packaging is swollen

Symptom
A newly received filter's outer bag is swollen or bulging.
Solution
Normal — filters are nitrogen-sealed; bag may bulge. Intact seal = fine.

New unit is loud on first purification

Symptom
A new unit is very loud on first purification.
Solution
Normal — new lines contain air the pump compiles loudly. Repeated purging quietens it; level the unit and add a soft mat.

Black powder in tanks on first use

Symptom
Black powder appears in the tanks after first water flow.
Solution
Normal — new carbon filters release fines. Flush 3-5 times; rinse the pure tank if needed.

Turbid water / particles in raw tank

Symptom
Raw-tank water looks cloudy with green or brown particles.
Solution
Usually algae spores or pipe sediment, worse in summer. The 0.0001-micron RO membrane removes microbes, so output is safe. Clean the raw tank.

Leak found under/around the unit

Symptom
Water leakage is found under or around the unit.
Solution
① Close the inlet valve, stop water, cut power. ② Check spills and MAX. ③ Reseat all three filters. ④ Wipe and restart. Contact the store where you purchased.

What is TDS?

Symptom
What is TDS? Why does the number differ?
Solution
TDS measures dissolved minerals, set by your raw water. After a water change, dispense a cup so the probe samples it.

Why does raw-tank water get concentrated?

Symptom
Why does remaining raw-tank water concentrate — what is "waste"?
Solution
The 0.1-nanometer RO membrane needs flush water to prevent clogging; that flush returns as "waste" — slightly saltier, not sewage. Drain and refill.

Fixed-volume dispense slightly off

Symptom
Fixed dispensing measures slightly less or more.
Solution
Water remains in the lines, so fixed dispensing has a normal tolerance (more for hot water). Use a measuring cup.

Vertical line on the casing

Symptom
There is a vertical line or mark on the outer casing.
Solution
Natural molding weld line; does not affect use.

How is filter life calculated?

Symptom
How is filter life calculated? Must I replace when told?
Solution
Filter life uses power-on time, raw TDS and dispensed volume. The reminder is a recommendation — don't wait until fully clogged.
